Winter

Utah is famous for its snow, so our seasonal guide to Brian Head has to start with winter and snow activities. The Grand Lodge at Brian Head is located within moments of the Brian Head Ski Resort, where the highest base elevation in Utah means over 400 inches of powder every season! Approximately 80% of Brian Head is intermediate and beginner terrain, including one entire mountain dedicated to beginners and children.

Spring

Spring at Brian Head means classic spring skiing, with excellent snow and t-shirt weather. The decks at Grand Lodge at Brian Head are especially popular this season, as our skiing and snowboarding guests gather around the fire pits to relax after a day on the slopes. The changing of the seasons in late spring brings warmer weather and plenty of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking and exploring all the nearby National Parks.

Summer

When it's hot everywhere else, it's cool at the 9,600-foot elevation of Brian Head. Even our warmest days enjoy a pleasant cool breeze, and at night you'll want to pull on a sweater and gather around the fire. Summer season means mountain biking and hiking in Southern Utah, and Brian Head offers everything from epic single track to hiking trails through aspen groves and fields of wildflowers. It's an outdoor recreation paradise, and The Grand Lodge at Brian Head is a central spot for your exploration of the area.

Fall

Brian Head is the perfect location to enjoy the incredible fall colors of Southern Utah, from the golden stands of aspens to the rich reds and oranges of the oak and cottonwood trees. See them from your car, or better yet, from one of the abundant hiking trails in the area. With its cooler temperatures and stunning scenery, fall is also a great time to visit nearby Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Great Basin National Park.
